As of September 9, 2026, Iroquois Valley Farmland REIT became Amber Farmland Investments.

Over nearly two decades, we have grown from a pioneering farmland REIT into a national leader in financing the transition to organic agriculture. Our new name reflects both who we are today and the future we are helping to build.

Since our founding in 2007, our mission has remained the same: partner with farmers to transition farmland from conventional to organic while delivering consistent financial returns to investors. As organic agriculture has grown and investor interest in real assets has expanded, we recognized that our name should better communicate the role we play in connecting investor capital with the farmers building the organic future.

Why Amber?

The name Amber is inspired by the “amber waves of grain” that have long symbolized the American agricultural landscape. For us, it represents thriving organic farmland, long-term stewardship of the land, and the stability that comes from investing with a long-term perspective.

While our name has changed, our roots remain firmly planted. We continue to honor the vision established by our co-founders, Dave Miller and Dr. Stephen Rivard, whose work began in Iroquois County, Illinois. Today, that vision has expanded into a nationwide network of organic farmland and farmer partnerships dedicated to building the organic future.

Built Through Partnerships

Building the new Amber brand was a collaborative effort, and we’re grateful to the talented partners who helped make it possible. Barretto Co., a fellow Certified B Corporation, guided our board and staff through the development of our new name and visual identity. Throughline Partners clarified our vision and shaped the verbal identity and messaging that define the Amber brand. StoryMine Media brought the perspectives of our founders and farmers to life through compelling video storytelling. Impact Matters, our longtime legal partners, shepherded us through the regulatory processes required to transition to the new name. While Ryan Milani transformed our new brand into the digital experience you see throughout this website.

We’re proud of what we’ve created together and grateful for the creativity, expertise, and partnership each of these collaborators contributed along the way.
